Production Workflow

Located in suburban Philadelphia, Parralux is a video production company focused on delivering stories that connect with your audience.  From long-form videos that highlight your corporate priorities to TV commercials promoting your brand, Parralux brings experience and a guiding hand.

The production process may seem complicated so here's a breakdown that'll take you from concept to completion. It consists of three phases: Pre-Production, Production and Post-Production.

Stage 1 [Pre-Production] is when all the planning and coordination happens.

Stage 2 [Production] we capture all the elements that will be in your final video.

Stage 3 [Post-Production] is where all the elements get edited together and combined to create the final video.

Stage 1: Pre-Production

In the beginning, it's all about preparation and laying the groundwork. During this phase, it's essential to do the planning, research, problem-solving, and organization necessary. It involves thousands of decisions that affect the success of the next two phases and the quality of the final product. It’s important to spend appropriate time here and get all those decisions right.

The pre-production phase includes:

- Video strategy/goals

- Budget/scope

- Story selection

- Preparing a production schedule

- Script creation

- Talent casting

- Determination of crew & equipment need

- Scouting locations

Stage 2: Production

The schedule is set and the preparation is complete: now it's time to execute the vision.

The Production phase is where we capture all the interviews and footage for your video. This is where all the time and energy spent preparing culminates into something special. If you have specific visions, ideas, or visuals that you want to be included in the final product, be sure that it's clearly communicated to your producer before the production phase.

The production phase includes:

- Set up the cameras/sound/lighting equipment

- Conducting interviews or shooting scenes with talent

- Recording voiceovers

- Capturing B-Roll (secondary footage that helps support your story)

Stage 3: Post-Production

Post-production is when the shots are actually assembled. In fact, it’s when the story will start to take shape. During post-production, the video and audio will be cleaned up. Shots will be enhanced, effects will be added and the scenes will be placed into their final sequence.

If any interviews were conducted, your producer will carefully review all the footage and transcribe them. Then, they will assemble the story and the video editor does their magic to bring all the pieces together.

The production phase includes:

- Logging scenes / transcribing interviews

- Producing the final story

- Selecting music / sound effects

- Video editing

- Titles / graphics added

- Color correction

- Reviews/approvals

- Final Delivery

Producing high-quality professional video takes an experienced team, solid pre-production strategies, project management skills, a tried-and-tested production process, and a quality assurance system. All of these combined efforts will result in a video that matches your brand, meets your objectives, and exceeds your expectations.
